Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy protects NetaMate customers, users, infrastructure and third parties from abuse. It applies to hosted software, managed services, remote-management capabilities and related NetaMate systems.
2. Unlawful or harmful activity
- Do not use a service to violate applicable law, regulation, court order or the legal rights of another person.
- Do not facilitate fraud, impersonation, harassment, threats, exploitation or intentionally harmful conduct.
- Do not upload, distribute or make available content that you do not have the right to process through the service.
3. Spam, phishing and deceptive messaging
- Do not send unsolicited bulk messages in violation of applicable law or recipient expectations.
- Do not use MateMail or any NetaMate service for phishing, credential theft, spoofing intended to deceive, fraudulent campaigns or malicious redirection.
- Do not deliberately evade reasonable anti-abuse, reputation or delivery controls.
4. Malware and security abuse
- Do not distribute malware, ransomware, destructive code or malicious payloads.
- Do not probe, scan, exploit or attempt to bypass security controls on systems you are not authorized to test.
- Do not interfere with service availability, overload shared infrastructure, launch denial-of-service activity or coordinate abusive automated traffic.
- Do not use credentials, tokens, keys or sessions obtained without authorization.
5. Remote management and endpoint access
Remote-management features, including MateConnect capabilities, may only be installed, configured or used on systems and devices that Customer is authorized to administer. Customers must obtain any notices, consents or approvals required by law or their relationship with device users.
Remote access must not be used for covert surveillance, unauthorized monitoring, credential theft or access outside the authorized administrative purpose.
6. Privacy and data protection
Do not use NetaMate services to collect, expose or process personal information unlawfully. Customers are responsible for configuring permissions, retention and user access appropriate to their use case and for providing required privacy notices.
7. Resource and platform abuse
- Do not use the service for unauthorized cryptocurrency mining or workloads designed primarily to consume excessive shared resources.
- Do not bypass service limits, licensing restrictions, rate controls or technical safeguards.
- Do not resell, sublicense or provide unauthorized shared access to a service where the applicable plan or agreement does not permit it.
8. High-risk uses
Unless NetaMate expressly agrees in writing, services are not designed as the sole control for emergency response, life-support, safety-critical, weapons or other use cases where failure could reasonably lead directly to death, serious injury or severe physical damage.
9. Enforcement
NetaMate may investigate suspected violations and may restrict or suspend the affected account, user, message flow, device connection or service when reasonably necessary to stop active abuse, protect systems or comply with law. Where practical, we will give the customer notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
10. Reporting abuse
To report suspected abuse involving a NetaMate service, contact support@netamate.com and include enough information for us to investigate safely.
